About the Willows
The Willow responds to the slightest breeze as the supple branches vibrate, flowing with grace. Willows are among the first to move into disturbed landscapes and create change and movement, healers of the planet and habitat. Their power to balance gives way to slower growing trees and reflects our ability to heal, recognize and honor the flow of life.
“The willow bends to drink” is a powerful metaphor for creatively living as the moment presents itself, and then to play that moment in the most life-affirming way, filling our hearts, pulsing more strongly with the knowledge and inspiration that already exists within each of us, the inward aspects of human emotion. In bringing our attention inward, the Trees of Remembrance remind us that we are profoundly connected to one another, to stay connected to that Great Consciousness, and to continue to act with the power of our love.
The Willows Yoga in Encinitas is inspired by Tantra with an uplifting philosophy that sees good in all people, all things, encouraging students of all abilities and experience.

At the core of the The Willows Yoga are the family of teachers: Sherry Schreck, Andrew Jones, Debra Hodgen, Shelley Manning, Jenn Waters, Lara Mazour-Brodsky, Robin Christ, Jill Jancic and Michele Bollo, owner of The Willows. Each has many hundreds of hours of yoga teacher training, yoga-related trainings and a total passion for the practice of yoga and with purpose and love, a total dedication to teaching.
